Well guys, tomarrow I will be installing the fuel plate on my dads 96. He got one of those Budget Fuel Plate kits from Dynomite diesel. It comes with an AFC spring and washer and was wondering how easy it is to install and some instructions with pictures on doing so. Is it worth it? what gain do you get from doing so? I am also doing some other stuff like turning the idle up so it won't stall and puting on the BHAF with prefilter and heatshield. Also if I put the Fuel plate where the stock plate is will that be around 50 hp? that is what I am looking for.

In summary...

1. Afc spring
a. benifits
b. easy to do

2. Fuel Plate Position
a. how to gain around 50hp

Thanks Guys you are always a help. Also does anyone know what number of plate it is???

1. Afc spring
a. quicker acceleration, full fuel at lower boost
b. easy to do, yes

The washer allows the AFC arm to travel an additional couple of mm, which allows extra rack travel if the plate is aggressive enough. It replaces the cupped washer on the fan side of the diagram

2. Fuel Plate Position
a. I'd just put it to FF and if it slips the trans or gets to hot slide it back. But depending on what the profile is stock position might be 50hp

If you could I would appreciate some pictures of what the pate looks like so we have a reference of the profile # Thanks
