I am looking how to get my truck to high idle. I have a 04.5 6 speed and was looking for the thread on how to do it so if i could get some pointers... i tought you could ground out one of the pins but dont want to do it without being positive. Thanks

i have heard that you can do it, but i called two dodge houses and they said that its only for 05 and up, and only for automatics.

so if you find out, lemme know.

i pinged a few peeps on here via pm, got a " ill look into it and get back to ya ", but never rcvd a response on it.

I've got an 04.5 6 speed and mine came with the high idle programmed from the factory. It kicks in automagically during the really cold weather. Or, are you talking the "manual" high idle?????

depends on if you electronic pedal are the cables still. some 04.5 have and some dont. if you dont have the electronic your sol:CRY:

I started a thread in the 3rd gen powertrain about high idle for a manual for a 05 lots of info there not sure if it will work for a 04.5 but worth a look.
