Today I know I ran into the limiter for maybe 1 second or so in 5th on my manual tranny. Long story about why I did this that I will spare yall but, my assumption is that it would defuel to hold the limit. Is this how the revs are limited? Just wondering because it seemed awful smooth and I would think defueling at that speed would have caused something like sputtering. It didn't, just stopped revving at 3400 it seemed like.

it defuels... kinda falls on its face but it is still smoothe as can be

NEGATIVE...it's a 3rd GEN...the computer regulates it by defueling once it hits the rev limiter

It just starts cutting the fuel back.

It just pulls the fuel back just like you were pulling your foot off the throttle.

The ECM controls the high speed govenor just like the low speed govenor (idle) so it's a very smooth govenor.

Oh, and BTW, you aren't going to get a 4K GSK govenor into your HPCR.

The 12V's were full mechanical, and the 24V's are Full Electronic.

That's the reason on these 3rd gens a programmer can raise rev limiter..

Thanks for the responses everyone! If I have to gesture again instead of shifting I won't worry about it :thumbsup

Yeah it is really smooth. Just like you put it on cruise control.

yeah the new smarty revo software is fully fueled to 4K...it's pretty rowdy
