I had 3M rock guard film applied to the front of the hood, headlights and trim pieces on the front end when I got my tint done. I think it is worth it.
^^^ my next purchase. What is the difference between that one and the factory one?

You are right I will correct to crew cab tonight, I don't know what the other one is made from the one I have is made of the same material as the regular ships except no attaching points. It sticks on to the hood from 3m tape so am not sure if it will deflect but will protect from chipping. I will send a pic close up tonight to show how it lays on the hood.Great looking truck Joe, been looking at brush guards, like your's...thanks for the information in your sig....question though: I didn't think Ram made a "Quad cab" anymore, just regular cab, crew cab and Mega cab? Anyway, great looking truck and I can use the info in your sig to look up a brush guard:thumbsup:

Probably missing the obvious, but what exactly does it do and why is it a must have for winter?I had my truck 3M'd right at the dealer...Its a must have for anyone that drives their truck in the winter.
On our street they lay "gravel" down on the streets causing rock chips. This will help protect the front of the truck from these rocks and there will be no rock chips in that area. This increases the value of the truck especially on resale.Probably missing the obvious, but what exactly does it do and why is it a must have for winter?
On our 8th new truck, none were 3M'd, and have been driving Michigan winters my entire life.
