i got a little problem with my truck idling high. even when its 90* out and the truck is hot, still idles around 900 rpm. is this normal or do i got a big problem? any help is greatly appreciated

I've got the same problem, only my idle speed is 700rpm. Hope someone helps out on this. What is the idle rpm supposed to be anyway?

i have the same thing, so i asked an engineer from cummins about it, and he said with the auto trannys it normal

Mine idles at 900 i wouldnt worry about it

i wasnt too worried about it, its just that when i shift into gear it slams into gear instead of eases in...... i wonder if the higher idle is causing that
