Hey guys i have a 99 5.9 i am haveing some idle problems with it .
Does matter when i start it warm or cold
sitting in park tap throttle and motor idles up to 1100-1200 rpm's put truck in gear and drops down to 800-900 put it back in park and it stays there tap throttle again and it does the same thing.
now driving down the road stop at a stoplight and it is doing the same thing so i turn on ac and it kick's down to normal idle in gear .....

sounds like your throttle position sensor. ive been out of the 5.9 world for a while, but i believe Timbo? makes a better replacement.

Do you have any other issues. Lockup? What TPS do you have now? Have you tried doing he reset on it, if not do so.
