my trucks brand new and it seems to be burning hot, the pmt is always defueling due to pyro readings, I mean 1500 degrees all the time? at 70 flat land, its about 800-850, what you guys running? also does the engine burn cooler as it becomes more broken in?

They run hotter. With the DPF you will see a lot of high EGTs, without you shouldnt see that high unles you are on it hard.

I have my PMT to defuel at 1500 degrees and can hit it with a full throttle assault in a few seconds. But if I'm cruising at say 65 I'm running around 700 degrees. That Mp-8 throwing extra fuel is probably whats causing your heat problems. I'm still curious what egt levels these trucks can handle, because at the moment i couldn't do a pull or a run down the strip with my current defuel setting.

i have the edge set to defuel at 1600 and have only hit that once on the track. it was a very hot day though. at 65mph i sit around 720. about 160 cooler than it was stock. i wouldn't worry too much about hitting 1500 deg, i put the edge on right away to measure temps and stock during a regen mine would hit 1400. these 6.7l will handle alot more heat than the 5.9l, i have heard of only one 6.7 burning the turbo but that was with ALOT of goodies, hit 1850 just before the trap and melted the turbo.

I tow about 25K behind truck everyday. I see 1600+ EGT's often. Usually when it's on an upgrade. These trucks have higher EGT's then the 5.9. If I am on the freeway with the load it is usually around 1000
