So I had a pair of 55w H13 high/low hids from DDM Tuning and the control box fried a while back. They sent me a new control box and I had it for a few weeks until it fried again. My lows wouldn't turn on and only my high beams worked. So I took the entire HID kit out and plugged my stock lights back in and now my lows don't work at all and one bulb works when I flip on the highs. I don't know what to do from here except get the truck flashed to see if they work? Id like to get some advise before I get any lawyers involved for damages. Thanks for any help in advance.

The best thing you can do is throw that junk in the trash.Get in contact with retro solutions so they can get you a real HID kit

I dont trust DDMtuning crap anymore. Your not the only one. I know about 3 people that has messaged me with the same issue. Try installing everything back to stock and see what happens. You still under warranty by chance?

I agree go with another company but retro solutions is not the only good company out there.

Find a Starscan tool or equivalent and get the TIPM reset exact same thing happened to me and all it too was to trash the e HID kit and reset the TIPM.

True thats where I was getting to with my comment lol Sometimes you can get away with resetting it but there are the cases where you have to replace it.

@ Dekman, thanks for the advise. Would any shops have a starscan tool or would it just be the dealership that has one? I'll try that and let yall know what happens. Thanks everybody.

My local shop has a scanner made by Snapon that can access and clear the codes.

retro solutions all the way.... by far the best 300 I've ever spent and let me tell u.... u would not believe the stuff people do when their in front of me at night or early morning i kinda feel bad but if it was the other way around they wouldn't care at all

op... sorry to derail wish i had more info for u but definitely contact retro solutions, i didn't want to spend the money at first but after the first 170 on junk that didn't work i couldn't take it anymore, good luck and hope u get it fixed

It takes like 5 mins for the fog light install and 40 mins tops for the head lights..Not one single problem and yeaa people get pissed all the time :rof I flip mine on high and go on my way

yeah i got 55w for the fogs also so they recommended the relay harness on those as well so it took longer but my stuff is hidden pretty well so i spent a lot of time making sure everything was perfect....

the funny thing is when they think i have my high beams on and they flash their lights at me .... u know their pissed but then as soon as i pull back that magic switch it seems as if almost instantaneously their lights are off again i could only imagine what their wishing they could do to me :roy:thumbsup:

and i swear i would be a rich man if i had a video camera recording the first incident the morning after they were installed.... came to a red light, guy in front of me starting going nuts, throwing his hands up in the air, throwing a fit, then grabs the wheel and rips it to the right so fast off to the side..... i sat their stared at him, waited a second, once i knew he wanted me to pass i got right next to him very close and loaded his car full of smoke....530am.... what a way to start off the dayrofrofstirpot:
