There are two fuel lines that connect the frame mounted fuel filter to the sending unit on top of the tank.

One of the lines is removed from top of the sending unit by squeezing the sides and pulling the line off.

The other has a clip that needs to be pulled out and then the line comes off.

( I forget which is the supply and which is the return)

Unfortunately, I broke that little clip when trying to pull it off.

Does anyone know if that clip is replaceable alone or if not, where to find the part number for that line so I can buy a replacement?

Dumb move on my part but live and learn.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hmmm, do you have a picture of the clip, that would help a ton. Even if its broken it'll still help us know exactly what the clip is.

Unfortunately, I do not.....It has a semi circle on top with two "legs" that push down to prevent the line from backing out past the barb.

I don't even mind buying the actual line from the fuel filer housing to the top of the sending unit on top of the tank - I just can't find good parts diagrams to identify which line I need. I'll just pull the clip off and use it - will be the most expensive plastic clip ever :)

i know generally those clips are replaceable at the auto parts store, dealer will likely try and sell you an entire hose though
Yeah, that's what I was hoping. Autozone was the only place open last night and, of course, they had zero clue.

I'm sure I'd have better luck with NAPA as they actually have real parts people.

I think ur fine with out them. I had a 2016, sold it to carvana.
I put an extra fuel filter in mine. I removed it when I sold it. I think I still have clips.

send me a pic. If I have it u can have it. I kept two clips when I sold it due to I was in a hurry.
the lines still snap in place. It’s just the clips prevent it from unsnapping. But it won’t by itself.

This what you looking for? I got worried when I heard people breaking them when putting in the bigger tanks. So I saved the link just in case.
Awesome - looks like those are the ones! Stock are black but these look to be the same shape and size.

I appreciate it!!!

And, these (see photo below) are the WRONG ones if anyone ever searches and finds this thread - these are the clips that hold the lines to the frame mounted rear fuel filter.

The other ends of the hoses go to the top of the fuel tank and one is pinch to release and one uses the Dorman clip listed in post #9

Glad that worked for you. Yeah i heard horror stories of guys breaking them when I got ready to put the big tank in. So I looked and figured before something goes wrong and than have to hunt down where to get them. I started looking for them before I switched tanks. Mine went smooth but you never know what could happen to old plastic when you mess with it.
