ok heres the issue. lf i just click the truck into drive it starts out in third gear. I have to manually click it down to first or secon and shift up. Now if im rolling and make a turn it will down shift accordingly. Everything shifts fine its just annoying having to do it manually. Any thoughts?

Usually governor pressure solenoid. Does not hurt anything but your wallet to do the rest of the solenoids in the trani at the same time.
Did mine today, same issue.

ok 10-4. SO do you have to drop the pan to do that solenoid?
