i feel like an idiot but i must be doing something wrong. as you can see, i had too much fun for stock steering and i'm trying to replace it with heimed steering but i can't seem to get these bolts out. any suggestions? i'll spare the details of what i had to do just to get the nut off. i'm about ready to cut them and drill it out

i'm not reusing it. i'm going to heimed steering. but i've smashed the living hell out of it :banghead:
did u try a pickle fork?
Did u hit the knuckle part with a 3lb or similar hammer a couple times? That should do it.

Heat and knock the "insert adult word here because of the retarded nanny filter" out of the knuckle.

haven't yet but i was actually planning on picking one up after work today. i basically mostly wanted to make sure this is a regular bolt and isn't threaded into the knuckle or something crazy. i think it's just rusted together but thanks for the suggestions everyone. i'll try everything tonight

What he said :agree2: .
jack it up pull the wheel and use a bfh on the side of the knuckle a couple good solid wacks then one good one straight down should do it
Heat is your friend in these situations. The picklefork will only help you on the side that isn't already broken. Dont heat the tierod, just the hub around it and as stated before, put your BFH to work.
I agree use 2 1/2 or 3 lb. hammer and hit it HARD !!! a few times.
2 guys hitting on both sides of the knuckle at the same time will make it fall out, be aware its tapered and with no tie rod on there it may come out of there like a torpedo

and hit hard!
