i doubt this will help at all, but when i did my new motor all the fuel ran out of the lines from the tank to the lift pump, and i drilled open an old fuel cap and stuck an air nozzle in there to put pressure in the tank, then i pulled the rubber feed line off where it meets the metal line that runs down to the lift pump until fuel came out and stuck it back on, i might've even kept the air pressure to the tank when i started it, i can't remember
