ok here's the deal i got 16550 miles on the truck and today my cel came on and didnt feel nothing diferent well just went eat and on the way home realized that the eb doesnt sem to work and i don't hear my turbo whistle even the little bit i could hear before ..... i checked for codes but can't get anything to come up it just shows the lines then done .....



I was bragging how i hadnt had a one light since i bought it i guess its coming to bite me in the a$$

If your turbo was out you would know it.....mine does the same thing.....what flash do you have? I don't know why they have lil gremlins...but mine will do the same thing as you described....and be just fine the next time. Take it to the dealer if it flashed a cel it will store it and they can pull it up.

the last one i got was the o2 sensor flash but i was gonna bring it in i was just wonderin if the turbo may needa one of those "cleanings"

Ya I bet you will get the good ole 2262 code...And I am sure they will want to band aid it for ya.....are you using the low ash oil?

Those exact reasons (eb not working well, no more whistle, a slight decrease in performance-probably boost, poorer mileage) were the exact reasons mine is in the shop now.

Oh yeah, and for the P2262 code it was showing. The EB function is directly related to this. When functioning properly, my EB would brake hard down to 1,100 rpm. When the code hits, it tapers off dramatically at 1,600 rpm instead and is all but ineffective below that.

I have a feeling you might be joining our growing club soon. The good news is we readily accept all new members but it's the dues you're going to pay that are the killer...

ha yea well atleast its happenin before my delete comes in and maybe i can get it straight ......well this morning it was fine then when i left work it was on again then after a while of driving the eb started working normal again so i guess its gettin ready to mess up bad still no code shows up on the info center thing and yes im using the low ash oil
