Working on my 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 Sport. I'm in the process of reinstalling the dash after replacing my heater core and found my self stuck not knowing which plug connects to the one shown in the image below.

It's located within the steering column wiring harness and splits off near where that bottom brace bar is located. Everything else is plugged in and I have not yet powered on the truck to test what is working and what's not.

Plug only has 2 wires
- orange w/ white stripe
-black w/ green stripe

Thank you in advance for your help on this!

My truck is a 99 but I can go out later to see if I can locate it on my truck. If I find it I will take a photo.

Brake dash light on the parking brake maybe? Maybe reghlar brake light switch. Maybe switch on clutch pedal? Did you plug in the ground strap on end of the dash? It is a flat wire strap.

Are you sure it was plugged in somewhere and not an accessory or option you don’t have? Do you remember unplugging it?

If it’s important it will toss a CEL to give you a clue ;)
