if you look at the post i started a couple of weeks ago it has pictures of an easy fix. i took the truck to a muffler shop and had them remove the bracket and weld the rod directly to the exhaust pipe. $30 and everything is quiet now, no more rubbing.

I must have got an updated kit because i have the hangers welded to the piping.
