I need some help, truck is apart in the driveway, lower control arms are off. I have taken the rubber bushings out. With the energy suspension bushing kit, are the outer metal sleeves to be removed on the control arms? The ID of the metal sleeve is 2.045" and the OD of the poly bushing is 2.200". Can their really be a 0.155" press fit on these?

Thanks in advance for the insight.

Thank you, those actually are the instructions that come with the kit. It says nothing about taking out or leaving the metal sleeves around the rubber bushing. All of the other bushings I put on the truck required the metal sleeve to be removed. The control arms, however, I found do NOT require the sleeves to be removed. I did removed them and then proceeded to salvage the destroyed sleeves put them back into the control arms.

For anyone that is putting this kit in, yes the bushings are over .150" larger than the ID of the metal sleeve and yes they will press in with lots of lube and patience. Also, I put energy suspension in the rear leaf springs, sway bar, track bar, and control arms... WOW... the truck rides better than the day I bought it, highly recommend the upgrades.
