So I have a very screwy situation going on. I have a 99 2500 and my tail lights and dash lights won't work unless the heater is in the off position. The fan speed switch acts as a dimmer switch with high being a 100% bright setting. The light switch works fine and the heater switch works fine. My initial thought was that I have a short and/or a mess of wires melted together. I pulled the entire dash out and there is no such thing. On the main plug of the heater switch there is a light green wire with a white stripe that when connected to the black wire with a cream colored stripe (that goes to the blower motor) makes the lights work. When not hooked up there is nothing. Two questions I guess, what is the light green wire with a white stripe and what is going? Ive thought through it every which way and Ive got nothing. Bad Karma I guess...
