If you're looking at purchasing a 6 inch lift from Bds ,let me tell you that my 2012 Ram is eating front driveshafts.
The problem appears related to the fact that there is not a transfer case clocking ring on mine.
This is an option that you should buy and be aware that they want almost 200$ for.

It's pretty much common sense that you'll need an indexing ring or lengthen the front shaft or both with a 6" or higher lift or it'll eat the front shaft like the OP stated. And $200 for an indexing ring isn't bad at all
