For those of you who cracked open a set of projectors to do upgrades and installed a set of the switchbacks, how did you wire them in? I had a new set of projectors upgraded for my truck by someone else, and he did a great job on them, but when he sealed them up, he didn't wire up the switchbacks internally (which I think you can do). Instead, he brought the connector for the driver for them out the back. This means I now have to splice into the factory harness which plugs into the back of the headlight assembly. I don't really want to do it, but I don't think I have a choice, short of opening up the headlights again. That really isn't an option for me, so my question is, how exactly has someone else wired theirs? split some insulation off the factory wire and solder in another lead coming off of the factory wire and then tape or heat-shrink it? Thanks in advance!

I did a projector retrofit & put in a 'switchback' strip. The strip is spliced/soldered into the 'running & turn signal' wiring. The 3 wires from the strip come out the back of the headlight, plug into the 'driver' & then into the wiring mentioned above.
