What would be the best option to swap into? How have you gone about looking for possible candidates? Thanks, love the site.

This is extremely vague..... hell if you have the fabrication skills you could swap this setup into a Prius.... so what are you looking for? Something from the 30s? Or something from the 2000s? Car or pickup?..... boat? A 12v has literally been swapped into everything imaginable.

Wondering what the most common Ford swap would be. I would need something to ‘plug and play’ using the parts from DCS/Destroked with little to no fabricating. What is the best avenue to find a good candidate?

Destroked is a great place for the swap kits. The square body 90s fords are a very popular swap and with a manual transmission it would be very easy to do at home. You are still being very vague on what you are looking for. Dropping that engine into really any domestic truck could be plug and play since they are so simple. What body style of ford do you think looks the best? What can you afford? I think that should dictate what you buy not what is easiest. I have a spare motor at home that I really want to put in a 70s ford highboy or a 60-66 chev pickup. Just waiting for the right priced pickup to come my way ;)

As far as the best avenue to find what you want to swap just check the forums on the internet there is tons of people who have swapped.... like I said the 90s fords to me seem very easy. Say like a mid to late 90s ford with a blown up 7.3 and 5 speed would be a great drop in with destroked kit.

Depends on what you are planning on putting it in. If you were to put it in another 2nd gen try checking junkyards. Sometimes you can get lucky and find a decent 2nd gen with a crap motor but a good body and interior.

I am not a huge ford guy... but any blown up 6.4 truck would be a good swap. They have great interior, axles and very well supported for swap parts.
