Have you considered black stove paint, your silver color would look good with a black stack.

OHIC, well good luck man, I think you'll be able to do it for cheaper than buying a kit.

I may think the opposite way. Work smarter not harder. Its TONS easier to order a kit from farmboysdiesel.com for a 5" kit than it is to peice it togather here and there. By the time you pay shipping you are in over your head or close to it. Not to mention the extra time involved with cutting, welding, bracing etc... that will take time and patients. Where as for a couple hundred bucks you can have a kit that fits your truck perfect with no cutting needed.

I agree here, definitely look into what you are wanting to do/make vs. what you need to order to have the same. Unless, the style of cut isn't something that is really out there and really unique.

i built my own exhaust for about 290 bucks and thats including a $140 5" downpipe. keep in mind i only did 1 stack plus i have a regular cab and i had the whol exhaust from turbo back ceramic coated in a 2000* black coating. from the downpipe it only took 3' of 5" pipe 1 90* elbow and 3' of 7" pipe. I cut the miter on it myself welded on the reducer fit it all up took it off and had it coated. I would'nt have done it any oher way. If the weather is nice tomorrow i am going to take some pics of my truck since i put the stack on there i and will post them up
