Having hard starts primarly when truck is cold. Truck has a new VP and FASS 95/95.

More specifically? What do you consider a hard start?

After the wait to start light goes out and you turn the key it should fire right up. However after cranking for several seconds then stopping to let the pump cycle it will finally start after a few more seconds of cranking.

OK....what if you just hit the key and tried to start the truck without waiting for the light? OR if you unplugged our pump and tried to start the truck? (Obviously don’t run for very long if it starts) Does it make a difference?
