I've tried searching for an exact answer but I can't find one.
I'm looking at getting A1 H11 12MM Head Studs over ARP 625's because of the price difference but I'm not sure if i would need to bottom tap it or not. I've read from different threads that the H11's are a direct replacement for stock studs and you don't have to bottom tap it and I've also read that you do have to bottom tap it because H11's are slightly longer than ARP studs. I know that it is always for the best to just do it anyway but I do not want to do it if it is absolutely not necessary.
So what is it everyone? Do I absolutely need to do bottom tapping for these head studs?
