Hey gents need some help. Drove truck the other day started up fine was able to drive to work. Came back that morning and truck wouldn't start. Thought due to the weather in CO my fuel geld up tried starting 3 different times and something stunk like the started burned up. At the dealer and said they pulled 4 pages of errors and saying the tuner was the root issue. They also said the exam could be fried. H&S said to have dealer check fuse 33 and is fine. H&S said they have never had an issue with there product frying the ecm wondering if anyone has had this issue as well. Thanks for any help you can give.

Might not help ya but when working at a dealer I've seen many techs blame the tuner before they even diagnosed the truck just because they didn't wanna mess with it. If you have a diesel shop somewhere close I'd see what they have to say about it

I just moved to CO only been here for 5 days don't know anyone, don't know of any shops and when you need your truck for work you will do what is needed. Reason why I took to the dealer in the 1st place is I believe the starter is fried then they told me this info. The issue I think it is a warranty issue and not the tuner. If no one has any suggestions please don't post.

Let us know what u find out. I guess if u take the tune off and back to stock then its not the starter issue. I had an issue with my tuner but only because the new tune that was out had some bugs that needed worked out. My truck was locked up, every light on the dash was on and truck wouldn't start. I had to disconnect battery, hold positive and negative terminals together for 20 seconds, hook battery back up, put tuner back to stock, then the truck started. Then had to revert back to the previous tune, loaded it and worked fine.

There is a another thread with similar problems as yourself. I agree with above poster, id return the truck to stock and see what it does there with no H/S connected at all. and when you say (wont start) do you mean completely dead or is it turning over fast but just wont fire? is there any smoke?

The truck has power going to it but when you turn the truck to the run position to start won't try to crank over. Do you know the like for the other guy who is having the same issue? I did return the truck to stock. But I'll go to the dealer today and mess with it sense they are closed.

At one point it was trying to start cranking over a guy I work with saw some smoke so I stopped and left the truck alone for the day came back and wouldn't even try to start.

Figured out what the issue is. I needed to install a grid heater and replace the the manifold heater relay. So far truck starts and I keep plugged in while I'm gone just to be safe. Will see how it starts when I get back in a few hours.

I don't see what that would have to do with the truck not spinning over???

How cold were we talking about??? It should have been spinning over but white smoke should have been coming out exhaust.

Let us know how it works out.
