I'm looking to get a programmer soon for my 2012, 6 speed manual, I was looking for input and your thoughts on the two listed or what you think is better right now I'm leaning towards the edge but Im still considering other options, what do you use and what are your thoughts on it? Which way should I go? I don't tow much bit I would still like to gain HPbut I really wanna get better mileage. Where's the best site to order from?
H&S mini maxx or Edge juice with attitude?

Not really sure what's better, but from what I've seen other people say, the h&s seems to be the more popular option.

I own smarty and am happy with it. As far as edge it seems like a few people i know have had transmission issues with the edge in fords gas and diesel and dodge diesels. Most members here use smarty and hs. Hs seems to offer great customer service but in my opinion they will make anything you could spend a few dollars on.smarty isnt known for the best customer service but write great tunes and are cleaner in terms of smoke versus hs. As far as mileage couldnt tell you but some members have had hs and smarty and claim virtually the same mileage. Efi live is out and offers options that the competition dosent. They are suppose to be able to offer better tuning than the comp. Hope that helps.

Messed with Smarty and h&s. Well as part of a showdown. They were pretty much the same performance but they get there differently. I would stay away from the edge tuners. You will get better performance from the mm without a doubt. They are more expensive but that is for a reason.

If I were to jump into it right now, I'd get the Edge Insight CTS for gauges and EFI Live for programming. I think the Edge can use preset EFI Live tunes on the Fords and Chevs but not yet for the Dodge. If it has to be between Edge or H&S, I'd take the H&S MiniMax and I own an Edge Race Juice (no issues per say but I think H&S can do better than Edge on programming). Currently there is an Edge Race Juice in the classifieds section and there's always Smarty 67ME and H&S programmers available there too.

That woulda be the best option for the op I think...cuz by the time he's ready to make the jump to deletes...it takes most folks a few months of mulling it around in their head...at least from what I've seen on here and how long it takes buddies of mine to finally get me to install the deletes...efi well be public for 6.7 and the tuners will have tuning down pretty good

He will be waiting for a while then. His is a 12. Efi live isn't out yet. But as an absolute best option yes efi live is the best. See my sig. Lol.

U can grow with H&S . if u want to do the deletes it an option, It is NOT an option to run code free deleted with Edge.

Since you are going to delete the HS is the way to go, Edge will not work on a deleted truck and like mentioned there is no Smarty or EFI for a 2012 if you are buying anytime soon.

I respect you and your input James, but I respectfully disagree. You may not run code free, but it is perfectly operational without issues. It is NOT recommended by certain companies (H&S I think was one of them) to clear codes on start up unless you have to (like the Edge is capable of) because if your battery voltage is below 12.5 Volts, errors in the ECM may occur just like programming with the H&S with a low voltage.

I have edge in both my truck and love them. My auto has the edge ez which came on the truck when I bought it and my 5 speed 01 has the edge juice with attitude CS. I love it. It has the EGT, oil pressure, fuel pressure, and boost right there on the screen plus I can record things on it like 0-60, 1/4 mile and top temps and pressure it hits during that which is great for when I'm messing around : )

Thank you sir but what I was saying is you can not buy a Edge prodcut that will do deletes, the Edge Race was discontinued. Granted you can buy a Edge tuner and use sims but that is not a option offered by Edge just something we ran back in the day before HS and Smarty had the 6.7 tuning. I ran the Edge and sims on my '07.5 There are customers that have and still do run that setup and others will had ran that setup and had problems.

Even the Race Juice didn't delete, just came with the Sims allowing delete but the Race Juice does allow resetting of the counters over the regular Juice. If my truck hadn't come with an Edge, I too would have went with H&S. Got my Race Juice about a week before they announced they were discontinuing it. Really don't know why they did that, all they had to do was not provide the Sims for delete.
