Well guys my delete kit is finally installed and all I can say is WOW! My truck now sounds like a diesel, smells like a diesel, and runs like there is a JATO rocket mounted in the bed.

I am running the H&S Stage 2 delete kit, H&S EGR delete kit, H&S Fuel Rail shim kit, and an XRT (60 HP tune) to make it all work together. Just before the deletes I mounted an Edge Insight on the dash to monitor everything.

So far I have put on about 1,500 miles (Holiday Travel) and have nothing but great things to say. On average I am getting 1 to 2 mpg better (when I can stay off the throttle) and my EGTs are running about 75 degrees cooler overall. I waited until 30,000 miles were on the truck because I wanted to get the most out of my 36,000 mile warranty but now that the deletes are done I only wish I would have done them earlier.

I would really like to thank everyone who helped me out with these deletes. Thanks to these guys the entire process went amazing smooth and everything ended up working just as they stated (which seems to be rare these days).

H&S Performance: You have design some amazing kits that are easy to install, work as advertised, and impress the hell out of everyone that uses them. (Thanks H&S )

H&S Performance Customer Service: I don’t know how many times I called you before the purchase and during the install but I do know that every single time you answered the phone, completely explained everything, and I left thoroughly impressed. (Thanks Casey )

Shibby Engineering: Due to the conditions in Michigan during the winter the Shibby Engineering Connector Plug Kit was a necessity. I was so impressed with the quality of this kit. Every plug fit better than factory connectors and reassured me that I would have no electrical problems in the future. (Thanks Shibby )

Rollin Smoke Diesel: I ordered the H&S Hardware and Edge products from here and again I was truly impressed with the quality of customer service and fast shipping that I received from James. Based on my experiences with RSD I now recommend him to all of my friends. (Thanks James )

All Out Diesel: After ordering from RSD I vowed that I would always buy through him if possible but then 2 days before the deletes I realized that I forgot to order the Shibby Engineering connector plugs. Since RSD was out for the Holidays I contacted the forum vendors asking for assistance. All Out Diesel came to the rescue and sent me some the next day. These guys are newer on the forum but I would highly recommend them to anyone. (Thanks Jason )

WOODLIZZARD: I bought the XRT used from WOODLIZZARD and the transaction went great. The shipping was fast and the unit looked like new. I updated the programming from the H&S website and the download when perfect. (Thanks J.P.)

Compcowboy, ksseabrd, & slagburn: You guys provided some amazing technical instructions that are now Stickys in the 6.7L technical articles. Without you the entire process would have taken at least twice as long and I would have several more busted knuckles. (Thanks Guys )

Well guys, sorry about the lengthy post but all of these guys definitely deserve the recognition.

Thanks again everyone.

If you think it pulls like it has a JATO now, just add a waste gate and see how much torque you are missing up top.

H and S are TOPS in my book. The absolute best.

I think the next upgrade is going to have to be head studs but I am also keeping a close eye on the new waste gate kits. Right now they cost a bit more than I want to spend so I am just taking it easy and staying with the 60HP level which is way more than what I need or could use right now as it is the middle of winter around here.

Same Thing

I'm going to do the same thing to my truck. I am going to be in Detroit on leave for two weeks from Afghanistan the beginning of February. I really want to get all this done then but before I commit to ordering the parts I wanted to see, in your opinion and experience, how long it will take to complete. (Any unforeseen pitfalls) I will be done with my year here a few months later but want to do it next month if it is relatively painless and won't get me in trouble with the wife for spending all my time on the truck while I'm at home. I see the recommendations for parts distributers in your post, how long did it take to get all the parts. Being I'm on a time line and will be home in a few weeks I need to get things going if that is the course of action I'm going. A post like yours is the reason I got on this forum and want to thank you in advance for any info.
