Confused on the shims under the idle spring. Do they need to come out or not. Cant seem to find a clear answer on here. If they are supposed to come out, does that include the wear washer too? thanks!

Left them in, everything runs and idles perfect.

+1. If I left them out the nut would have had to be threaded down past 0.050" before is engaged the retainer. I left the shims in and it clicked the way the stock one did with the same amount of threaded rod protruding. It runs and idles perfect.
