I only notice my grid heater kick in when i fire up the truck in the morning or after its been sitting awhile in the cold i used to notice it kick on a bunch till it warmed up all the way by watching the voltmeter. now its only kicking on once maybe twice on start up. It seems like it takes longer for it to warm up now too. What do you guys think something wrong with or is it just me I would think if its not working right it would trip the check engine light? :confused013:

if your grid heater was kicking on and off till your truck was warmed up all the way you have a problem. Your grid heater will cycle on and off until certain temp is reached, dont know the specific temp. The grid heater will also quit cycling if you drive down the road and reach I believe 20 mph or over. Dont know why it was cycling on and off till it was warmed up all the way. Maybe someone here can explain that.
