In the middle of an airdog install of my buddy's 02. Pulled the tank and there was a little green ball floating around. I'm at a loss an no idea what's for

Maybe someone or someones kid put it into the tank?.

It gives the extra 3mpg leave it in.

The green gremlins are busy little rascals. HTHeck they get ball through filler neck? It perhaps for anti siphon system. Ball keeps hose from geting into for theft purposes. Some also serve as anti spitback when filling. This is general information that may not be specific for application. It definitelly not part of vent/rollover valve.

Roll over valve... So if the truck rolls over the green ball plugs the filler neck from running fuel out.

Oh wow never would have guessed that. Thanks moparman. We are done now and just pulled it out and put it aside. And also thanks for your write up on your site for the airdog install. Helped us out a lot
