B&W is nice. I have one. The only thing for me is the pin doesnt stay locked for flipping the ball. Not sure why but its a pain sometimes.

B&W here also.. Just installed yesterday... Not too bad but it wasn't as easy as I expected it to be....

Here is a tip.... Remove the spare >> Directions don't tell you to but you might as well do that from the start.

I just grabbed a cheep 30k rated goose neck plate and bolted it to my frame with 5/8 grade 8 bolts and cut a hole in my bed. But I wouldn't suggest that on any 3rd gen truck. I'm pretty sure you aren't supposed to drill through the frame but I don't remember why.

I do find it nice that there is 0 play in the system, so there is less movement and banging around than any system with rails or moving parts.

I have a B&W on my '98. I like it. I put it in without even jacking up the truck but I did drop the spare so I would have room to work. Since the '98 is a short bed when I take the ball out I store it under the seat instead of turning it over. With the bed loaded the ball turned over comes close to the differential. I have found that after a little practice that I have no trouble keeping the locking pin unlocked while I put the ball in or out.

I have the B&W also and love it. Installed it on my old truck and didn't consider anything else for the new truck. I can't make any comparisons because I have never used anything else.

B&W seems to be running away with this award. I do not have one yet, but my brother has the B&W and he says if I get anything else, I am a dumb*** and am out of the family...

I've installed all major brands even the unagoose and my vote also goes to the B&W. Had B&W in my last 3 trucks, never had any trouble. I Always try to talk customers into B&W.
