I have a 2007.5 4X4 with the pro-comp 5'' lift and mx-6 shocks. with toyo mt 35x12.5.20 tires. i really like the height and overall ride quality. (came from a 2001 superduty 12'' lift with leafspring front end and bil 5100s & 42'' Swampers) I have searched this forum and a few others on the use of spacers vs new coils with little luck. would i benefit from purchasing 5'' coils to replace the spacers and maybe upgrading to fox 2.0 shocks? I just want to know if the increased ride quality is worth the extra price. The truck is my daily commuter 100mi/day on the freeway, pully a 10k trailer during riding season and is offroaded on accasion in the glamis sand dunes. thanks for the help. I really wanted the carli system but dont want to spend the money after building a full class 7 race truck. you can get in deep on suspension really quick.

You will definitely benefit from better coils and shocks. Will it be worth it? Well, that's tough for me to say. Fox 2.0s are about $200 each, and a custom length set of quality coils is easily going to be $400+. I have over $5000 in my 2.5 King setup so I say dropping $1200-$1500 is worth it. But when I go to Glamis I drive my truck in the dunes, not an ATV.

Why don't you come over to DodgeTrucksXtreme.com and ask you question there. The guys from Carli, Don Thuren of Thuren Fabrication, Sean Lorenz and even Keg Parker of KORE are active on that board, along with some other avid desert off roaders. You'll get the most pertinent advice over there.
