Just recently changed my oil, oil filter and fuel filter on my 14 tradesman. The fuel filter was an ac delco ( i think) I picked up from auto zone. Was getting 17-18 mpg anytime i drove it and now 15.5 is the best I can do. Just want to say go ahead and spend the extra 15 bucks or so and get the mopar from the dealer. Unless there's another brand out there that's as good as mopar.

I would stay away from Auto Zone filters for these truck. Using Mopar & or fleetguard is your best bet. I know the rear fuel filter is only available my Mopar (or others) and the under the hood filter can be a Fleetguard. I only use Fleetguard oil & fuel filters for my truck. On the drop in mpg's, has the weather turned cooler where you live. I know that when the temperature stay lower, the Mpg's get lower too. Winter blended fuel will make your mpg's take a hit also. A bit soon for winter blend, I might think, depending on where you live. As far as Mopar filters, I would use them before other brands, unless Fleetguard, but that is just me. Best wishes.

When it's leaking out the housing, because it didn't come with a new o-ring :stirpot:.

I try to avoid anything that has anything to do with Autozone. It's like the "Car Parts $1 Store" to me. No bueno around here. Advance or O'reily or the locally owned mom and pop store which is my preference.

for future reference use genos garage, you won't find cheaper prices, and they only supply good products for our trucks.
When it comes to filters and oil, saving $15 on a $10,000 motor will only cost you in the long run.

For what it is worth, most general repair parts are made by one or two companies. Power steering pumps, alternators, starters, pulleys and the like. Maybe slightly different specs, maybe. But most are just one or two vendors for repair parts. They have levels...silver, gold, etc. The price is up the store. I found this out while building my XJ and shopping around for deals and strength. Just my opinion.

And to the OP, don't skimp on the cheepo filters. Get the Mopar ones. Geno's Garage is a great source. I have been using them for years and they are (or were) Veteran owned.

I run the mopar or the fleet guard nanonet filters in mine. Mopar are cheaper on Genos. They are the same filter I've set them side by side. Both are labeled the same on the filters. With cummins fleet guard. So I just by the mopar and save a few $
