USING ROSTRA SEAT HEATERS AS OEM REPLACEMENTS
With cold weather setting in this time of the year, we often get asked if the Rostra Seat Heater Kit can be used to fix OEM seat heaters that have given up. We can understand why. Failure is not uncommon and replacing the OEM seat heaters is expensive. Real expensive.
The answer is yes and no. Yes, the Rostra Seat Heater Kit will work in trucks equipped with OEM seat heaters. No, you cannot wire the Rostra kit into the factory set-up. Removing the OEM seat heaters looks to be fairly easy once the seat cover is removed. The Rostra kit goes where they were. It is a big job, but not that difficult to do.
