I plan on doing a p-pump swap some time in the future and was thinking about just trashing the stock gauge cluster along with the computers... I would end up with a different alternator and no cruz, correct? Could I do this and run a completely mechanical engine with mechanical gauges? :confused013:

You can even eliminate the starter and just push to start it to make it a true all mechanical engine lol
Joking, this would be pretty cool to see how clean you can make it look

What's your reason for wanting to get rid of the stock gauge cluster?

I think you can get an external regulator to control the stock alternator.

well my oil gauge is going crazy and my tach bounces... some times I'm doing 50 and some times I'm doing 60. lol and when I do the swap I want every thing reliable... ill be replacing the gauges on my a-pillar to because whoever wired them (im the 2nd owner) did something wrong... turn my lights on my egts drop 200* and my fuel pressure drops 2psi... oh and I HATE electronics on engines... and I get to free up some room for other toys and like stated it will look cleaner under the hood...
