So I finished rebuilding my truck the other day. Started right up and took it out a few times, ran and drove great. The last time however, I took a corner and accelerated and my gauges went nuts. The water in fuel, check engine, check gauges lights all came on and my oil pressure gauge also reads 0. I have no idea what's going on or why that happened? Ran the truck a little after the fact and it still runs and idles fine without any excessive noise so I don't think it really has no oil pressure. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks!

Clean and tighter all heavy battery connections. Have batteries tested separately. Have alternator bench tested for diode issues and condition of brushes.
These are basic starting points.

I agree with dozer above and I am assuming that you did check your oil levels correct?
Never ever assume your guages are wrong, not a good idea, seen where guys have blown engines assuming incorrect guages. What codes is she throwing?

Yeah, oil is full, and has oil pressure. I haven't had a chance to get it to someone that can check for codes. I had an appointment to bring it somewhere then in came the issue with it starting so I didn't want to bring it to him and have it be dead in his way.

Sadly I'm having the same problem
I changed both my batteries, started up the truck and after about 2 min it shut off
Check gauges kept flashing
I have a blue tooth scanner and will run it in morning but I'm guessing one of the posts wasn't tightened properly

Check all wiring connection especially those that have the CCD Network. Being all gauge information is sent over the CCD network.

you dont have your signature filled in so I dont know what year the truck is. Key trick can reveal codes depending on year

99... Nope grab a OBDII code reader.

2002 Is the only year that the key trick works on properly

2001 most of the time only reports the PCM and quits.

2000 Some work and some don't.

1999 - Don't work..

1998.5 - Don't work.

Ok got it all working this morning
one if my terminals was loose
Since these engines need all the battery power they can get all connections need to be as tight as possible
used all new hardware and all is good

Just a little side nite, one of my longer bolts snapped so I went to dealer........ $38 for a new one
I just used a bolt from work lol
