I worked all day on my brothers 99 cummins installing fuel, boost, and pyro gauges. They are the ev2 electric gauges. Finally got them installed and working. Question is now when we turn the key to start the truck the gauge cluster on the truck goes crazy. All the needles go up and down and the lights in the cluster flash. What could this be?

My truck started doing the same thing recently. It had been sitting without batteries for a year and when I put new ones in and started it the gauges (speedo, rpm, volt, oil pressure, fuel and temp) all bounce around constantly until I put the parking brake on, then they all go to zero. I'm going to try to figure it out this week, it has to be a ground gone bad or maybe one of the harness plugs. This is my 98 12 valve so it still runs fine, should be fun diagnosing:banghead:

^this and check your battery connections (clean and tight) and check the status of your batteries...all those things can cause low voltage which what it sounds like you've got.
