Bolted up an OEM auto transmission cooler (for MY 03 thru 09) to my 07 3500 C&C G56 equipped truck. If any one is interested I'll post all the information here.

Sorry, I was prepping my Boat for my Colorado River trip.

I lost the clutch due to a quirk when its in regen, which surges at 2K RPM (long story) I had the trans inspected by Richard at Standard Transmission in Tucson AZ. He found the bearings browned and I had him replace all bearings and races. I never knew what the temperature the trans was before the inspection, but the races tell the story.

So it was time for the SMF and I didn't want the clutch slipping due to the surge, so I had a SBC DD3250 clutch installed and had transcoolers installed on the PTO opennings that I bought from Geno's Garage. I had setup temperature sensors on both sides of the trans and saw as high as 250* at 15K GCVW. It seems the trans coolers were not doing all that well. I found a thread on TDR where a member there had setup a system in which I improved upon, I found that the MY 03 thru 09 CTD's radiators are the same for both manual and automatic options. It bolted right up. The pictures show what I used.

I only had two real tests so far, but my River Trip should prove to be the test that I can compare temperatures. I can bring down the temperature while climbing Cajon Pass from 215* at the bottom, to 189* at the top. I'll post some numbers of the River trip.

Sorry everybody, I'm having trouble posting pictures.

Jeez 250 ... I saw 210 max and that was beating it like a red headed step child at glamis in the sand. Never seen over 150 when towing. Last load was 6k trailer and 8k machine on it.

Edit - now you have me curious if the settings for my digital gauge are correct or not ...

I like the idea but first is a clutch, which I probably won't have the money for till next summer..... I like finding these kinds of things but my wallet doesn't......

Nice set up.
Thanks, it's not quite complete yet, but it works great.

How is the SBC DD3250? What about when you're towing? I just bought one for my truck but haven't put it in yet.
Its really noisy, but works as advertised, if it wasn't for my surging in regen, I would have gone with a single disk. I only have towed my Boat as of yet with it, but I do have a 34' Arctic Fox that when combined is 23K GCVW and will be the ultimate test.

Now you have me curious as well, I will use my multi meter that can sense temperature and is calibrated, I'll let you know. But 150* seems cool for meshing gears under a load.

Thats an understatement for sure. It all started out with my iPhone-4, and all I wanted was to be able to listen to my iTunes on my OEM REC nav unit in my truck. As expensive as they were, it had no Aux jack, so I bought a Lockpick REC NAV LOCKPICK and it worked great after a couple of tries. Then my batteries started to get weak which threw a couple of TDC's that cost me at the dealer, so I bought a KIWI wifi setup PLX Kiwi 2 Wifi | OBD2 OBDII iPhone Dashcommand app to use it with and discovered that the video would show up on my Nav. Then I bought the modules that see temps & pressures Accessories - PLX Devices Inc - USA Then I had a Skin developed for my Nav screen Dashboard Details - DashXL.net

BTW, I'm still having issues posting pictures, so when I get it figured out, I'll post more.

I would like to get some pictures posted but I'm having issues with it, maybe someone can help out. When I try to post the picture it says that I am over my quota but I have no pictures in my attachments what's up?

I ahve run into the same problem here becasue there is a 100KB limit to photo storage on CF unless you upgrade to some sort of paid membership. Easiest way around is to open a photobucket or imageshack account, upload pics to it, then post links to the photos--like this--

Your temperatures are scary ... I verified mine and 210 is the MAX I have seen since installing the probe (records max and min). I also linked another page below with temps that are hotter than me by a tiny bit but not close to you. Something doesn't seem right IMO. I remember hitting the 210 as well, glamis, sand, beating on it hard under 50 mph, pulling a razor out etc. high load slamming gears whoop sections etc. towing a trailer in a straight line is nothing compared to that.
