I am experiencing a “problem” with my truck, which I have since new and after deleting. When I’m playing around and romping on it, the truck seems to almost die or a second between shifts. It’s most relevant in the funnest gears, from 3rd to 4th. It’s extremely annoying especially if I’m trying to burn money(tires) and I can’t keep the tires spinning between the shifts because I loose all boost and power. Rail pressure dips a bit. Is this a stock lift pump problem? Not being able to keep up? In the near future I will be installing a WCFab s467 and a lift pump, but I’d like to have the problem solved before I do this. Any advice would be appreciated

I've noticed similar behaviour out of my '17 G56 truck. I've been tuned with Anarchy efilive for the past 9800 miles (tuned truck with 12,700 miles). If you're driving the truck spiritedly, making quick shifts, its slow to come back on power. My '17 G56 behaves nothing like my '06 5.9 G56 with ATP trucks efilive tunes. My '06 is extremely responsive with zero lag between shifts if you're banging through the gears quickly. My '17 is the first 6.7 I've ever owned/driven and it's got a very different power band compared to my '06 5.9. The 5.9 seems a lot more responsive, with less turbo lag, but the 6.7 seems to make a lot more power on less boost, once you're rolling. I also notice the egts on my 6.7 are much lower than my 5.9. I can hit 1400 deg on my 5.9 without trying hard. The highest I've seen is 1100 on my 6.7 and by the time I hit those temps I was doing 110 mph.

I spoke to Anarchy briefly about how my 6.7 felt compared to my 5.9 and they said that's normal for a 6.7. I've learned to get used to it and I just don't expect my 6.7 to respond instantly like my 5.9.

I don't think you are experiencing a "problem". It's simply the way the 2013+ trucks work. Between torque management and turbo spool-up, that delay is just what you get when you get on, off, and back on the throttle. Unless your tuner can override the factory torque management, the only way you might be able to avoid it is by power shifting, but I suspect that your clutch and tranny would not last very long...

Damn dual mass $h1twheels. Why why why don't Chrysler fix this? I certainly fixed mine.

Because they don’t build these trucks for hot rodding, burn outs, and drag racing. They are built for work and towing.
Not really that difficult to understand.

Not saying you can’t build them for that but you cannot complain about how they come from the factory. That isn’t what they are designed for.

Dang boy... everyone knows that. Add some air and fuel. Duh duh. Dual mass flywheels fail.

Dead pedal, torque management, and lag from all the computers talking to each other and checking sensors... Welcome to Ram diesel trucks

I would suspect you need to speak with your tuner...

I have a sb 3250, clutch has never slipped and still doesn’t. Fuel and air is coming. I Didn’t consider it to be a tuning problem but I will tak to him about it.

To clarify this isn’t a burn out problem, the truck kills tires if need be. Get on the the highway is a good example, if I giving it the beans it still does it. Mainly between 3rd and 4th. An email was sent to my tuner. Thanks

It would've been nice for you to have mentioned your clutch in your first post or at least put it in your signature.

Everything I have done to the truck is in my signature, other than I switch to a 5inch straight pipe
