My truck is a 2015 RAm cummins 2500.

Everytime i replace my fuse [for the ciagerette lighter/power] by inserting it on the right slot on the fuse box, it would short circuit the fuse.

I tried to hold to metal part of truck & turn off the ignition it still short circuits.

Do i need to disconnect both terminals on my 2 batteries?

Sorry for asking, might be an easy solution to this. Thanks

You have a short somewhere. I would start by checking to see if anything is attached to the power of the CLA and/or make sure there is nothing in the CLA that could be causing a short.

Yeah, that's sort of like obvious, isn't it? Plug the fuse in and it blows, then something is overloading it, so simply trying to replace the fuse isn't going to work. That fuse is doing what it's supposed to do.

Start with whatever you've done to the truck, such as adding accessories or tapping into a power line. That's usually the culprit when something starts like that.

If you haven't done anything to it, look at the CLA. I once had a penny fall into the CLA on my wife's van. It shorted it out real quick.
