turn the key on, bump the starter( dont start the truck) and hop out, you should hear a slight hum from either the engine bay or the fuel tank....thats the easiest way to tell with out crawling around under your truck
Ok well I hear the pump come on when I start the truck but I havent investigated it.. Any easier way to tell? And also any suggestions on a just a pump or a whole airdog or fass system?
if the pump is under the hood then it's not in the tank...lol....IMO--if you have the money...get a system...if not, then just the pump, like i had to do a few yrs ago...
The raptor 150 is way cheaper than a airdog or fass system and pumps the same amount of fuel. I just installed mine and it performs great. Do you have any idea what psi your fuel pressure is now? most stock pumps only pump about 12psi idle and 10psi driving, my old one even dropped to 5psi WOT. You definantly want to stay above 10psi at all times. My new raptor keeps me at 18psi idle and only drops to 15 at WOT. Well worth $375 in my opinion.
Ha.. Well now I feel like an idiot.. But that's what I'm looking for.. Honestly I don't have fp gauge at the moment so i don't know what the pressure is at but I know that the lp will have to be done so I'm trying to get it done now instead of frying my vp later!!

my truck had both, just the one on the block wasnt hooked up. i guess dodge didnt feel like taking it of or something.
raptor is good i personally like the air dog or fass for better filtration and the water seperator is more convenient to drain and change out filters but deffentitly get some thing dont buy the fass ddrp its junk tried that still dropped to 5 at wot so raptor is a minimum
Airdog just came out with the Raptor FRRP, a couple weeks ago. It's a direct replacement pump with adjustable pressure. MAP is $299. I'm ordering one next week.
that seems like a good deal if it works
Anyone get the FRRP? LIke to hear some reports!
