I have an 04 cummins dually 4x4 and over the last couple days its been cutting out while driving down the road but picks back up like it runs out of fuel? It even speed up on its own once, I took it in to the dealer today and they say it needs some thing to do with whole throttle assembly that controls fuel presure. Its like $1200.00 whats you guys thoughts on this, Sorry for lack of tech terms :banghead: I have no problems working on my own stuff so info on what ever it takes labor wise would help to.

May be a FCA (fuel control actuator) rail pressure sensor, CP3, any codes?

I agree with the FCA causing your problem. It sits on your CP3 one connector and three screws holding it in. Remove it and shack it hard. A slow to no rattle then it's nfg.
