i was told to take bolt out of fuel pressure relief valve and turn motor over and there shoudnt be any fuel come out top of valve--it pours out when cranking engine--could this be the starting on diesel problem ? if so should i plug valve or buy oem replacement..everything stock on truck. thanks

well with the valve in place and it is pouring fuel out, then I would replace with an oem one. Some people say you can just cap it, but why not get an oem replacement for about the same price and give you a little comfort. Capping it some say causes excess pressure in the fuel rail and can destroy things, be safe and go with a replacement.

Hi

Could some of you CR experts give me a hand or better yet, your knowledge? The CR pressure relief valve has a history of failure. I have been looking on the web for a few days to find out why.
This is what I've heard. (1) The spring weakens and looses its force (2) The seat and poppet become etched (3) The poppet tip breaks off
What have you guys experienced? Have you done any testing on the CR relief valve?
