i have been chasing a fuel air leak. i now have fuel dripping off the transmission bell housing, next to the starter.
it appears to be coming from between the engine and firewall.
i dont see a leak at the heater, filter or transfer pump. i would expect it to be a spray if it was coming from that angle.
do you think replacing the return line would be a good idea?
i havent even checked to see what that line looks like, is it best to buy it from the dealer?

Return line is a good place to start.
Get 2 feet of 5/16" diesel rated hose and a couple of hose clamps. Don't let the autoparts guys tell you all fuel hose is diesel rated, it isn't.
Hose is in red below, you will have to remove the fuel filter, work by feel and end up with scars.
