I've head from a lot of people to run your fuel gauge down to the warning light. Because it could wear a spot in the gauge and either stick or show more fuel than is actually in the tank, if you only run it to a 1/4 tank then fill it up every time. What is everyones thoughts on this?

I do something similar to save my steering box. I only drive in circles so that I don't wear the center out.

There are many more things to worry about on these trucks than the fuel sending unit.

Since I've owned my truck I have never been lower than a couple needle widths past half. I doubt if its hurting anything.

Yeah I didnt know if it would hurt anything, I never run mine below a 1/4 tank so i dont run it out of fuel.
