Im tryin to replace the fuel filter tonight, it needs it bad. I think i have an idea how to do it.. i know i have to release the pressure in the system, so i think i do that by looseing the line coming from the tank. that should be it right? then take out the old and put in the new, then prime it by turnin the key on and off a few times, then tighten the line up? Sound good? howm I doin? :confused013:

You dont need to take any lines off. Everything is done under the hood.
1.open the yellow drain valve and let all the diesel drain out
2.get your big wrench or socket and take the cap off of the housing
3.the filter should come out with the cap
4.I always pour some fresh diesel in the housing to get any dirt out
5.replace your filter and o-ring on the cap
6.since you dont have a fass yet I would fill the housing up with fuel after you close the drain valve
7.put the filter and cap back on the housing and tighten it up
8.turn key to on pos. 2-3 times
9.bump the starter 1 time to make sure the pump fills the housing
10.turn the starter for no more than 30 seconds at a time so you wont burn it up
11. if it doesnt start loosen the first and third injector lines at the head and try to start again
12.if you see fuel on the block then its gettin fuel and tighten it all back up, it will evetually start, it might run rough so give it a little throttle
