Fuel Filter Help

SO my truck has cranked twice now without starting but immediately starts after i turn off and back on so i was going to replace the fuel filter since its about time anyway. I looked on Genos garage and they have the new 3+5 micron nanonet filter and the older style 5 micron. I called the dealer to see maybe if they had one in stock and they said that the nanonet filter was for 2013 only and that the other (older) filter was the current filter??? Anybody have a 2010 with a nanonet filter? Also is there any site that has a deal or package for more than one?

I just buy the Fleetguard 4-2 packages from Geno's...four oil filters and two fuel filters. That covers me for 30,000 miles.

I order from Heavy Duty Truck Parts - TruckHelp They have free shipping on orders $50.00 or more.
Dealership is wrong. The NanoNet filter supersedes everything for 2010+ - 2013 is same canister and older rigs should've already been retrofitted to this can style to fit the 5 micron filter.

Are you running a mini maxx by chance and bumping the the key right after the wait to start light goes out?
Start waiting till the ram logo goes out or just do what I do and just get in and bump the key like a gasser. I only wait to start after its sat for while. Think about what do the grid heater delete people do? They have no reason to wait to start. My truck used to not start same situation as yours and I realized on the h&s monitor when I'd be bumping the key after the wait to start light went out at the very same time the monitor was saying very quickly establishing connection.
i just ordered the 2013 filter for me 2011 got it off ebay for 46$ oem mopar 10$ cheaper then dealer
i just got a ff from napa for less the 30 bucks.
I got a Hastings filter for $36 seems fine, meets oem specs, they use to make amsoil filters. Napa was $62 the dealer was $60
The FS 53000 is the upgrade from the FS 43255. It will go in 2010 & up trucks.

The FS53000 will fit the MY'10 RAM 6.7L engines and is also a direct replacement for the current filter FS43255.

The above was copied & pasted from Fleetguard's web site.

What Napa did u go to, I'm right up the street from u on Evans Rd and I haven't found them for that price...Kick in the butt is that when I bought my first 12 when they first hit the lots, you could get the filter from napa for $17, but I guess since the early model 6.7 filters with the canister were $60, the new design that didn't have the canister with it went up? Guess they thought people were used to paying $60 for a fuel filter.

Same reason that diesel is more than unleaded!
