so i noticed a dripping under my truck at idle, thought it was condensation from running the a/c but come to find out it's fuel. looks to be pissing out of the fuel filter. quick search on here came up with part number FS1221. fleetguard unit, can source locally at big rig shop.

This is my first time replacing this thing, any tips/tricks on the job? Looks to be some sort of connector on the bottom of the existing fuel filter, does that transfer to the new one? is that a sensor for the water in fuel light or something?

from what i've read online, it doesnt seem too difficult.
-remove old filter
-fill new filter with fuel
-install new filter
-loosen 10mm bolt above filter
-work LP lever up and down until only fuel comes out
-tighten 10mm bolt
-DONE

The wires at the bottom of the filter are for the WIF light, most get a filter with a built in drain to eliminate the WIF assembly on the bottom.

Wix 33472 also has a drain, can get these at NAPA and Car Quest.
