I have had my '16 Laramie Longhorn for three days, and the memory seat/mirror/pedal function is driving me nuts. First it took me forever to get the seat memory stay set where I wanted it. But now that I have it where I want it, if I press the seat button the mirrors get all whacky. So I have to re-adust them. They just don't stay where I set them. I have read the manual and watched 3 Youtube vids, and doing everything they say. If I can't figure it out tomorrow, I will make the 160 mile round trip to the dealer. Not really expecting any answers, just kind of venting frustration.

Also, is the seat is supposed to go back when you shut the engine off? I'm pretty short and keep the seat up fairly close and was hoping it would go back automatically like the wifes car does. Makes it much easier to get out.

Yes seat goes back when you turn it off. It's called easy exit. You can turn that off in your settings. I have mine on, on my truck because I'm taller and it's way easier to get out. Now about your mirrors being whack I'm not sure. I dont have that problem.

Thanks, I will check the settings again tomorrow, but I don't remember seeing a place to check that one. Just one to link the key fob. I don't see "easy exit" on the factory window sticker or build sheet. But this thing has just about every option you can think of, so I don't see why it wouldn't have it.

edit: Just found a youtube vid that says you go through the app settings. That is one button I have not tried.

Thanks guys, the youtube vid steered me in the right direction and I got it to work. The seat went back when I killed the power. This is one fancy truck and light years ahead of my old 06 5.9.

I had an issue with my mirrors at first too. Flipping them up and back down a few times fixed it.

If you have the memory feature... I thought you had to re-set your setting after you make an adjustment.

Some are predicting Ram will mount Ford style mirrors, parking mirrors is a nice feature.

Right, that's my problem. The mirrors keep reverting back to what I assume is the previous owners setting who must have been really long legged and very short waisted. They go way out and down facing the ground. I keep adjusting everything, then trying to set it, but when I hit the #1 or 2 buttons, the mirrors go bonkers.

I'm retired and it's another day, so I will mess with it some more today.

So have you done this...
- Turn the ignition to on (do not start truck)
- Set your seat, mirrors, and power pedals where you want it.
- On your memory seat switch, press the "S" button for 1/2 second and release.
- Within 5 seconds press the memory number you want. Assuming #1.

My other question is... When you unlock your truck with the key fob, does it move the seats and mirrors? You might be using the fob programmed for "driver 2". Then you need to mess around in the radio to get to those settings to program the fob.

Yep, done all those steps several times. I finally figured out how to get the seat to move back automatically late last night through the radio screen thanks to a Youtube vid. When it moved back I got in and closed the door and the seat moved up some, but not where I had it set. So I pushed #1 and the mirrors went goofy again, but the seat got where I wanted it. So evidently it went back to a prior setting. I didn't try locking the doors and will do that when I go out and mess with it again a little later today.

Well, I went out this morning and did the drill again and forwhatever reason, it now works as it should. The seat moved up then I hit the 1 button and the mirrors stayed and the seat got into the position I set it at.

Also, I was having a rough time programing one of my garage doors the day we picked it up. In fact the 1 button I could not get to work, so moved to the number two button and even then had to push it twice. But now the buttons work as they should. :confused013:

My guess is this truck has a mind of it's own and has finally warmed up to it's new owner. :grin2:
