So I have a 2011 3500 with a 6.7, I have been struggling with a front right turn signal (mirror and rear signals work fine) issue for a while now, when turning on the right turn signal every first time from key "off" to "on" the flasher will pulse normally about 6 times then throws a RF turn signal malfunction code on display and flasher pulses faster and will stay this way until key off then resets this scenario all over. bulb is fine (checked it and also replaced it), replaced the multi function switch, swapped bulb socket from right pass to driver side to rule that out. using a multi meter I did notice the driver side blinks at 12.2 volts while pass side is only 9.6 to 10 volts but will not illuminate the bulb at all, ground in the bulb holder is good and is also the same ground used for running light which works fine. Cant seem to find any info on a control module for this year truck, internet gurus have pointed to the TIPM but I replaced that about five years ago with a new from dodge unit when my truck became possessed by demonic spirits which did crazy things o_O
Any insight with a direction to go next would be greatly appreciated, THANK YOU!

Quad or dual housings, and have you done anything in terms of replacing with LEDs or adding resistors anywhere to run LEDs, either front or rear

Also tagging @Jimmy07 since he is a wizard on this electrical stuff

Could be an ineffective feed circuit or a short to ground or the driver circuit is shorted. Have you checked to see if there may be a possible short between the two wires? Here's some info that might help you troubleshoot it:
In the image below, the top blue is the TIPM.

CONDITIONPOSSIBLE CAUSESCORRECTION
ONE TURN SIGNAL LAMP DOES NOT ILLUMINATE 1. Ineffective or missing bulb. 1. Test and replace turn signal bulb if required.
2. Ineffective ground circuit. 2. Test and repair open ground circuit if required.
3. Ineffective feed circuit. 3. Test and repair open right or left turn signal feed circuit if required.
4. Ineffective TIPM inputs or outputs. 4. Use a diagnostic scan tool to test the TIPM inputs and outputs. Refer to the appropriate diagnostic information.

CHECK THE (L160) RIGHT FRONT TURN SIGNAL CONTROL CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO GROUND:




Turn the ignition off.

Measure the resistance between ground and the (L160) Right Front Turn Signal Control circuit.

Is the resistance above 10k Ohms?

Yes
  • Replace the Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM) in accordance with the Service Information.
  • Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST.

No
  • Repair the short to ground in the (L160) Right Front Turn Signal Control circuit.
  • Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST.

CHECK THE (L160) RIGHT FRONT TURN SIGNAL DRIVER CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE IN THE HARNESS:




Turn the Right Turn Signal off.

Turn the ignition off.

Disconnect the Right Front Park/Turn Lamp harness connector.

Disconnect the TIPM C4 harness connector.

Turn the ignition on.

Measure the voltage between ground and the (L160) Right Front Turn Signal Driver circuit.

Is there any voltage present?

Yes
  • Repair the short to voltage in the (L160) Right Front Turn Signal Driver circuit.



CHECK THE (L160) RIGHT FRONT TURN SIGNAL DRIVER CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN IN THE HARNESS:




Turn the ignition off.

Disconnect the TIPM C4 harness connector.

Measure the resistance of the (L160) Right Front Turn Signal Driver circuit between the Right Front Park/Turn Lamp harness connector and the TIPM C4 harness connector.

Is the resistance below 5.0 Ohms?

Yes
  • Go To CHECK THE (Z904) GROUND CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN IN THE HARNESS

No
  • Repair the open in the (L160) Right Front Turn Signal Driver circuit.
  • Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST.


CHECK THE (Z904) GROUND CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN IN THE HARNESS:




Using a 12-volt test light connected to 12-volts, check the (Z904) Ground circuit.

Does the test light illuminate brightly?

Yes
  • Replace the Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM) in accordance with the Service Information.
  • Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST.

No
  • Repair the open in the (Z904) Ground circuit.
  • Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST.

A huge thank you for this diagram/flow chart, I found that the harness was not getting good contact with that driver pin on the TIPM, slightly tweaked that pin and all is good again, saved me a lot of money, thank you again 6.7L_MegaCab!!
