Its been on my mind for quite some time.

I have an 04 quad cab, And want to know if it is possible to swap to an 05 front end????

Like everything about my truck, cummins runs sweet, leather interiors immaculate, 50,000 miles, so I would like to keep this one for some time. Also dont really want to get into a 6.7 just yet, i like the 5.9's.

Still kicking myself for not holding out for an 05, but I am attached to this truck and theres no turning back.

Issue here is I really like the way the 05 front ends look, in my opinion the 03-04 looks to much like the 2nd gens. I wanna start doing a few mods to the truck, grill, lights etc and this is what raises this question.

Has anyone, or does anyone know of this swap being done?

Obv I would require headlights, grill, maybe even a hood, fenders??.. from an 05.

any ideas??

You must be thinking of 06. Yes you can, NCcummins has done it on his 03.

I don't think you need the hood. I think they're the same, just switch out the grille on it. So grille, bumper, headlights, and fenders should be all you need.

you need , fenders lights grille and bumper COVER. slt bumpers are the same, just a diifferent cap, sport and laramie cover fit over the slt chrome with minor trimming.

so hoods are the same for sure? Will the headlights mount up easily or is there fabrication needed to have them bolt up an align properly?

My 04 is a laramie, so I will need a bumper cover as well, or can this one be trimmed?

Can't see any problems with the lights, they mount to the fender.
